Can't say enough good things about the GOONJAM! It's always an incredible atmosphere with the people involved, and somehow the resorts (which I've never been to before) are super welcoming and cater to whatever GOON wants.
It's incredible how Lucas and Tanya make it happen for everybody. The dude's got a daughter now and is still out ripping just as hard as ever. It's definitely a sight to see, and witnessing the legend himself in his true element is fucking sick.
The park crew at Bousquet were super cool. The park manager was even rocking the 270s when I pulled up, and he was super excited to come say whatsup too. I wonder if he knew I was pulling up, lol.
Anyway, I'm glad I went out after deciding last minute. I had super FOMO anxiety about going to the Bombhole Beatdown, and opted out last minute. In my opinion, it wouldn't have been worth it. Don't get me wrong, it seemed like a cool event, but driving 2 hours back and forth to buy a day ticket just to ride the gondola for one run, then hike for only one hour, and deal with Loon Mountain parking and lift lines on a Saturday? HELL NO! Glad I let myself rest up for the GOONJAM. 😂😂
